A bite in the garden at Cortijo Opazo, Pórtugos, Granada, Spain

A buffet style spread of tasty home cooked food will be prepared for visitors and enjoyed with your friends in the garden. Tables will be found in the various corners of the garden but if you wish you can enjoy your meal sitting on the lawn, picnic style. Underground supper at 1250 metres above sea level.

We held our first Supper Club event last night for 16 people. The meal started as a journey around our garden - we live at a height of 1250 metres in the Sierra Nevada of southern Spain - with five different food stations and fabulous views of the valleys of the Alpujarras. "Well, it's our first attempt this Friday. All places are taken and we have a waiting list. All food and wine has been tested and, well, it's going to be great. let's hope we can eat the first courses outside as planned."

Hoping to conjure up an image of an early evening stroll amongst the flower beds, glass in hand, we invite you to partake in a relaxing and informal tasting of the produce that has been growing during this splendid summer, to which we will shortly be saying goodbye. In a few sentences tell us something about yourself
We live in the Alpujarras in Andalucia and run two small holiday rental apartments. We spend most of our time cultivating a garden with a large vegetable plot which we open to the public once a week on Fridays. Using much of the produce we grow ourselves we are interested in cooking for others for pleasure and for a fund raising activity for the non-profit making organisation "Jardín de la Alpujarra" http://www.jardinalpujarra.com

Good food, great holidays

Enjoy eating good food in a great holiday location. We can offer both in the Alpujarra mountains of southern Spain.
