<p>Looking round the SupperClub site, I don't see many/any (!) clubs in this part of the country and that's real shame as we have some of the best local produce anywhere.</p>
<p>We have fewer people than sheep & the sea hugs the land throughout the county and region with some amazing sea food.</p>
<p>I would like to host a Late Autumn SupperClub featuring such items as Galloway cheeses, crayfish and lowland whisky as well as prime Solway salt-marsh lamb - thats the kind reared here and sent…</p>
<p>Looking round the SupperClub site, I don't see many/any (!) clubs in this part of the country and that's real shame as we have some of the best local produce anywhere.</p>

<p>It seems that the Supper Club phenomenon is quite a Southern England thing... at least I haven't seen any Supper Club members much further north than Manchester.</p>
<p>Why might that be?</p>
<p>Are we too mean to invite strangers to our home?</p>
<p>There are apocryphal quotes heard from the Scottish such as these two</p>

<p>To a visitor to the house "ye'll have had yer tea then?" - meaning 'don't expect free food and drink from us</p>
<p>And a comment on the parsimony of the …</p>
