At some point we are bound to meet via the Supper Club and so thought it appropriate to introduce myself and let you know that Undercover Cakes is a new club on the scene (too new for location list!) located near Matlock Bath in Derbyshire.
Sunday Afternoon Tea coupled with a walk in the awesome surrounding countryside is a fabulous way to spend the last half of the weekend.
Undercover Cakes meets at a wonderful 400 yr old traditional stone cottage overlooking rolling hills and valleys. Surrounded by farms the cottage reflects a modern country feel, is comfortable, homely and the wood-burning stove offers up a real welcome.
Susan makes all the jams as well as the cakes and puddings and is pretty handy with the teapot! Bakewell Tart, carrot cake, Victoria sandwich, sticky toffee pudding and home make gammon sandwiches and scotch eggs are on the menu.
