Charity
We are supporting Spadework a charity for adults with learning difficulties based in Kent. Their mission statement:
Spadework bridges the gap for adults with learning difficulties and other disabilities, from dependence in a supportive environment, to increasing their independence, enabling them to live with dignity and purpose. We aspire to achieve this through work experience, development of life skills and interaction with the community.
The Spadework (at Offham) Farmers’ Market and Christmas Fair this month is on Saturday 7th December. Don’t forget 10% of the stalls take goes to the charity so the more you spend the more the charity earns! They have recently launched a facebook page and I hope you will give it a like. We will also be donating 20% of ticket price of our Festive Supper Club meal to this charity.
In November we were at the Hospice in The Weald Christmas Fair which raised £13,000 for the Hospice. We were also pleased to meet The Hadlow Pottery which is a similar enterprise to Spadework. For more details www.hadlowpottery.org
