My favourite chef at the moment is Yotam Ottolenghi, originally from Israel, who specialises in Middle Eastern and North African cuisine. Some of his recipes have been unusual to my English taste buds, but very delicious! Taking inspiration from his ideas, here is September's menu...
Caramelised Fennel, Goats Cheese and Quinoa Salad scattered with Seeds, and with a Lime and Mint Dressing
Moroccan-spiced slow-roast lamb or Moroccan-spiced butternut squash-served with Za'alouk (a Moroccan tomato and aubergine side dish), Broccoli and home-made Flatbreads Almond and Apricot tart served with Amaretto custard
My taste-testers have given this menu the definite thumbs up, with the veggie requesting the butternut squash recipe to take home with her and all the meat-eaters enjoying the lamb as it fell off the bone...
If you would like to book for September 29th, please contact me to reserve your place at malvernsupperclub@gmail.com. As always, there will be nibbles and a complimentary drink on arrival at 7.30pm, to get you started. Please let me know in advance if you would prefer the veggie option for the main course.
Hope to see you there!
