Vintage Afternoon Teas and The China Syndrome would be tickled pink if you would join us for "A Secret Tea Jam-boree" with very special guest Clippy McKenna.

Who fancies a Spring Fling in a secret tea room jam-packed with sweet treats and zesty revellers intent on enjoying the well-preserved bounty of an English kitchen garden?

It's the day before Mother's Day so mums are especially welcome but feel free to bring friends or come solo and make some new ones.

Inside our berry beautiful Cheshire village hall, just a hop, skip and a jump from Altrincham, the crisp-clothed tables will be laid with vintage harlequin tea services and jam jars bursting with fresh flowers. 

Conserve your appetites as our peachy waitresses will serve fine leaf teas and a delectable three-course afternoon tea of finger sandwiches, fresh scones with clotted cream and Clippy's jams and a selection of delicious cakes and treats including miniature Victoria sponge cakes and home-baked Jammy Dodgers. 

Maker of British apple-based conserves, chutneys and cordials Clippy McKenna will be our special guest. She describes herself as “an everyday mum obsessed with creating brilliant food” but she is single-handedly taking on the European Union and the UK Government in a battle to call her lower sugar, fruit-tastic products 'jam' and in 2012 she won 'Entrepreneur of the Year' at the Inspiring Women Awards. If only we could all be so 'everyday'!

She will talk about her plans to preserve the nation's waistlines through jam-making, show us how to do something fantastic with fruit and sign copies of her new book '500 Jams and Preserves' which will be available on the day at the special price of £7.
