Here’s something to look forward to: ‘This is for you!’ an evening at Town House to lift the spirits and make you feel good at this slightly gloomy time of year.
Start the evening by mixing your very own chocolate martini, or ‘choc-tails’ as they’re affectionately known – so decadent that even the glass is drizzled in velvety milk chocolate. Then enjoy a delicious four course meal created by Season Supper Club with you in mind, based on the history of Valentine's Day.
It began as a fertility festival in ancient Rome, celebrated with food and feasting to encourage health, vitality and fertility until, appropriated by St Valentine, it became today’s feast for lovers. Spicy herbal ingredients were used historically to treat sickness and the menu will use this and other foodie traditions associated with well-being and Valentines: warm spices in the lamb, romantic roses and violets in the dessert and one of the best known aphrodisiacs to start – oysters. Finish with a special potion created by Infuse to send you on your way home with a warm glow.
Friday 10th February at Town House, Spitalfields 6.45-11pm
