This week, Saturday 26th at 9pm, LATITUDINAL CUISINE is running an architectural version free of the normal geo-geometrical scan, but bound by the rigour of buildings – everyone bringing an edible edifice. It’s at our ATMOS studio just off the top of Brick Lane – on the rooftop if it’s nice and in the Vintage Emporium if it’s not.
The event is part of the London Architecture Festival, preceded by provocative presentations & discussions by 4 cool local practices: http://www.lfa2010.org/event.php?id=539&name=antibanality_arousals_and_provocations_in_architecture
LATITUDINAL CUISINE is a growing group of friends and strangers uniting around the simple concept of meeting weekly and travelling through the cuisines of the world.
We bring food from the longitude corresponding to the day of the year.
We share everything.
Usually (though not for the coming 2 weeks), you can cook there or bring it pre-prepared or you can buy something; everyone brings what they can.
There’s no competition and no prizes apart from the ripe rewards of new foods and new friends.
It’s easy and unintimidating and open to all, and it’s been great.
Whatever your motive – cooking, eating, drinking, socialising, networking, learning, travelling, exploring – come join us.
