We never know what the weather is going to be like in this funny country. However, mid-August, one would hope that planning an al fresco evening pop-up is entirely possible, even if it does mean wrapping ourselves in blankets!
Tonight, I invite you to join me for a picnic in Battersea Park.
Idris Davis - http://www.myspace.com/idrisdavies - will be joining our picnic with his acoustic guitar to add to the lovely atmosphere of being outside, eating delicious seasonal summer fayre with like minded fellows.
Idris first picked up the guitar at 8 when a friends father taught him the basics of the 12 bar blues. The blues has been a part of his day to day life ever since. Idris has been writing his own songs for a good 3 or so years now citing Bob Dylan as his key influence on song writing. Other influences include Clapton, Hendrix, B.B. King, Buddy Guy.
The picnic spread will be something along the lines of:
★ Homemade pork and leek sausage rolls with English mustard dip
★ Selection of finger sandwiches
★ Ginger, sesame and lime tuna shashimi
★ Hot roasted vine tomato soup with cheese straws
★ Roasted seasonal vegetable skewers with homemade garlic ailioli dip
★ Gooey chocolate brownies with strawberries
★ Mini passionfruit cakes
