If we suddenly ran up to you in the street and breathlessly said 'Ghosts, Goblins, Ghouls....other terrifying spooky things beginning with the letter 'G'...the wolfman, Frankenstein, Dracula....who...errr. don't begin with 'G' but are pretty damn scary'.  We reckon you'd think 'Yes, these mad yet attractive people are probably talking about Halloween'.
 
And you'd be right.
 
Here at the Basement we love the sheer naffness of it all, and positively embrace rubber pumpkins, cheap plastic witches capes, dangerously flammable spider webs in spraycans and all sorts of other assorted Halloween tat. Which doesn't mean we buy any of it, we just admire it...from afar.
 
And, we'd like to celebrate this fact by announcing a new supper date. Yay!
 
Friday 28th October
 
The menu is yet to be announced, but as usual it'll be 7 courses of British, seasonal and where possible, local grub.
It's BYO with regards to booze, and the suggested donation will be £30 per person.
 
Don't worry, it'll all be tres classy. No plastic skeletons or cheap old rubber bats here, thank you very much. But, if you really, really want to come dressed up as something spooky and help to lower the tone, then be our guest. We'll let you in....probably.
