While away a Sunday afternoon over lashings of tea, finger sandwiches, savoury tarts and lots of cake, in the dining room of our eighteenth century former farmhouse. It's a sumptuous spread and you can rest assured that the company is always good, a real mix of people, all drawn together by a love of tea, cake and chatting as they're munching.
It's my nearest tea party to The Queen's Diamond Jubilee, so I've designed a menu including some of HRHs favourite tea time treats: roast beef, coronation chicken and cucumber finger sandwiches (and other veggie options), freshly baked scones with clotted cream and preserves, Dundee cake, a Jubilee sponge layer cake and berry tartlets. £15 per head donation, 10% of which goes to a charity, this month it's The Karuna Trust who support Dalits in India, disadvantaged by the "caste" system.
