On this very special occasion we bring to you the taste of Venice at a time when its Republic was dominating over the Mediterranean...with a little oriental influence.
Think Polpo meets Asia, think Marco Polo’s wife cooking for him after he is back from one of his trips. Silk, spices and oils, but most of all, precious tea. It was in fact in Venice that the first Western record of tea occurred. We invite you to celebrate the cuisine of the Serenissima, drawing an imaginary trip to the far East. The meal will feature creations made with the artisan Taiwanese teas of Dachi&Co and tea seed oil by Cha Tzu Tang.
The menu
+ Aperitivo in the garden:
Sky High Oolong Mojito
Creamy salted cod mousse, rosemary and cardamom cracker
+ Grilled octopus salad a la veneziana
+ Mussel “Pasta e fasoi”, extra virgin tea seed oil
+ Riso e latte, vanilla pod, lemon zest, Frozen Summit Oolong cold brew
4 course meal and a tea cocktail £30. Organic Prosecco and Tea bar in the garden from 7pm. Dinner to start at 8pm.
A wine list will be available on the night with selected wines from small organic Italian growers. No BYO sorry.
