We’ve been on a massive Spanish tip for a while now. We’re lucky that we live in a city with an abundance of very good Spanish eateries and suppliers. Let’s just say we’ve eaten an unnatural quantity of tapas, picked up some tips and read a lot of books on this simple, yet incomparably exciting cuisine.
We’ve designed a 5 course menu featuring our favourite ingredients and dishes including octopus, beef cheeks and lots of garlic.
Chris will demystify the preconception that spanish food is a vegless, meat heavy oil slick through a series of short talks between each course.
Nik will be selecting and presenting organic and biodynamic wines to match each dish.
You can see the menu below.
Gildas (anchovy, hot pepper and olive skewer)
Deep fried chick peas, paprika and smoked salt
Octopus, salchichon, romesco, rocket and lemon
Sopa de ajo (garlic soup)
Beef cheeks braised in rioja and pedro ximenez, horseradish and potato puree, carrots
Arroz con leche (rice pudding)
Contribution £45 including wine
