Pot Luck Supper Club

I'm intrigued by the idea of a pot luck supper club, where guests bring their own dishes ( probably based on a theme). I'm planning on having a trial run with some friends soon.

My flat is tiny and can't seat many, I was wondering if finding other venues, halls, community spaces etc would work? Does it sound like a logistical nightmare, organising dishes, reaheating or not etc ? Also if people are bringing food would it be appropriate to ask for a small charge to cover venue costs ( halls, community centre, tents who knows)?

 I'm interested in the social, communal aspect of sharing food, experimenting with recipes and learning new things as well as hopefully eating great food. Wondered if anyone had any pearls of wisdom to share?

Hi only just seen this...I love the idea of a pot luck supper club. Latitude are doing that already. I love their events.
