Hi Mary, here's the recipe http://cheftalkandthecity.blogspot.co.uk/ its only African because I think it was made by an African women's society years ago. Will have to ask the chef to remind me of the full story, something to do with not having butter

Unless it is a family secret, what makes a chocolate cake African?
