In a few sentences tell us something about yourself: In these austere times, I'm providing inexpensive, high quality, restaurant standard food in the pleasant, relaxed and informal surroundings of my own home, located in a quiet suburb in Glasgow. Bringing your own wine is another huge saving especially when you take home whatever you don't drink! And I don't charge corkage!
Five course dinners are usually held on Friday or Saturday evenings. I can be booked for private parties and special occasions on other evenings by arrangement if you have a party of 8 or more guests.
You can save a lot of the cost of dining out because you bring your own wine and soft drinks (still, refrigerated water is provided). Anything you don't drink on the night will be re-corked and given back to you when you leave. Unlike restaurants I offer a unique experience in which not only you can taste seasonal locally sourced foods but they are prepared and cooked with love and passion, and with an understanding of the marriage of ingredients that delivers a unique infusion of tastes and flavours.
Created with my own unique twist which you will not find in Glasgow anywhere - the Jaquisine experience will allow you to be adventurous and give your palette a complete workout - we will also recommend wines that will complement the menu and taste !! In case you run out we can also provide wines for a donation of £10 per bottle.
The food is first class, expertly prepared, presented and cheerfully served by my extremely friendly team. I will provide subtle background music - bring your own vinyl or chose from my eclectic collection, if you prefer, you can plug in your iPod and play your own (as long as the other guests approve!). Evenings can be themed for a whole party and if you want a real party we can arrange karaoke or even fancy dress if you dare.
At the end of the meal, as the tables are cleared, you can relax and enjoy a game of Table Trivia or just sit and chat. We can relax a bit too and, if you don’t mind, we might join you for a chat and to make sure that you enjoyed the evening and your meal with like minded epicures and gourmands!
Please do remember (and make sure your guests know too) that I am only able to accept cash - no cheques or credit cards please! If you're paying for a large party, I can sometimes arrange for payment to be made in advance by bank transfer.
Before you leave, we ask for a minimum payment of £35 per person for a five course meal (prices vary depending on the menu you choose). The suggested minimum donation covers the cost of the ingredients and preparation of the dinners as well as the cost of my team of helpers. My prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of food that I prepare (as I'm constantly being told by my guests) and you can actually pay more if you so wish.
Finally, I think my team work extremely hard providing unobtrusive, efficient, polite and friendly service throughout the evening. My prices do NOT include a service charge, but I hope you will leave them a 'little something' as a thank-you for their hard work.
