Singapore, Singapura (Sanskrit: सिंहपुर, literally Lion City)
I come from a country that revolves around eating. Like many Singaporeans, I only started cooking when I left home, and when I couldn’t bear spending ££ I didn’t have on a mediocre meal any longer. I’ve eaten the most sophisticated and interesting meals of my life in humble, unassuming places like the Singaporean hawker centre. That’s where I’ve been happiest eating, where I almost always spent less than a tenner.
That’s why I’ve decided to start Lion City Supper Club. I want to create a homely, relaxing space for up to 10 guests each month where they can take their time, meet new friends and share a delicious and decadent five or six course meal without costing an arm and a leg. At each supper club, I want to carve out a culinary story with a no-nonsense, no-compromise approach, bring you the big bold flavours I remember, confuse you with the sheer range of variety but leave you happy, full and surprised at the end.

Hi to all at Lion City Kitchen,
I hope you're well. My name is Bex and I'm currently working as an Assistant Producer on a brand new television series for ITV called 'Culinary Genius' made by Gordon Ramsay's production company Studio Ramsay.
We are looking for amateur cooks who are passionate about cooking to apply to be on the show. There is a cash prize up for grabs, and the chance to be judged by Gordon and other top celebrity chefs! Do you think this is something which may appeal to you?
If so, please email us at culinarygenius@studioramsay.com or call me on 0207 202 2353 for more information. If you email, we can send an application form through right away and we can go from there!
If you think this appeals to you, or members of the supper club, please feel free to pass on the information and see below the flyer I have attached.
Many thanks and best wishes,
Bex
