Clandestinos first secret supper club, Bangkok! - Sunday, 31st October @ 5:00pm
It’s Clandestinos very first secret supper Club in Bangkok on Halloween. Venture down a dim, twisting soi to a beautiful Thai-style house and break bread with fellow intrepid souls in search of culinary treats, kindred conversation and perhaps a trick or two. Pagans, witches, vampires and Anthony Bourdain are most welcome.
Clandestinos is a throwback to the good old days of prohibition speakeasies and the paladares of Cuba. You won't find us advertised anywhere and there's no name above a door or listing in a phone book. We're discretely hidden away, so only those in the know can get inside!
It's not your typical secret underground restaurant but more of a small and intimate supper club with good food, good wine and candlelight!
Run once a month, you will enjoy home cooking from around the world, such as Brazilian, Spanish and Italian.
Your hosts for the evening will be Grace and Jane.
Jane is Thai-Chinese by birth and a citizen of the world by happy circumstances. She cannot help but be inspired by everything around her which informs her brilliant interior design and all the things she touches. If you happen to catch a glimpse of a woman adorned in fabulous handmade beads or swathed in stirring batiks, it is probably she.
Grace is a recent transplant to Bangkok and a delighted escapee of the NYC big advertising mines. She gets mistaken for every other asian ethnic group except for Korean, which she is. Her stomach is Asian, her sense of humor is English [translation for Americans: mean] and her aesthetic sensibilities find their roots in nature ... and Paris.
Jane and Grace are passionate about food and all the wonderful alchemy that happens around it and because of it. They are often found discussing food even whilst eating. Clandestino's Bangkok is their opportunity to share this love with old and new friends.
