Great day today, we all overslept so hubby decided he'd drive the kids to school which left me free to play in the kitchen.
Just made roasted tomato soup with toms from the greenhouse and some focaccia for dinner tonight. Our friend in London has managed to pick up some samphire (the last of the season) from Billingsgate so tomorrow we'll have sea bream with samphire with a beurre blanc.
Last job will be to make Nick's favorite blackberry vodka - probably 10 bottles to see him through to next year. So it's dog walking and blackberry picking for me this afternoon.
