Pot-au-feu is delighted to invite you to our French Classics supperclub on 19th January 2018. This will be a feast of classic French dishes, all cooked and served in our own home. The cost of this event is £43.61.

The food

What you can expect… a plentiful three-course meal of dishes such as; starters – rillettes et cornichons, soupe à l’oignon, pissaladière; mains – pot-au-feu, cassoulet, magret de canard, boeuf bourgignon, coq au vin, poule au pot with ratatouille, gratin dauphinois, haricots verts; puddings – crème brûlée, tarte tatin, clafoutis. We’re looking at guest numbers between 8 – 20.

This supperclub is mainly made up of meat and fish dishes. But if you have a special dietary requirement, do let us know in plenty of time and we can see if we can sort an alternative out for you. Please also let us know in plenty of time if you have any allergies.

Due to the nature of the event, it won’t be possible to change the menu on the night or with little notice. So please do chat with us beforehand if the menu doesn’t quite suit your requirements.

The booze

This is a bring your own bottle event and we’ll guide you on the best food/booze pairings nearer the time. A welcome aperitif will be served when you arrive, and water will be available throughout the meal. It’s unlikely we’ll have enough room in our fridges to store any drinks but we’ll do our best to provide ice buckets to keep things cooled. Coffee or tea will also be provided at the end of the meal.

Pot-au-feu is based in Woodingdean which is just up the road from Brighton race course. We’ll send the full address and how to get here when you reserve your space.

The cost

The cost of the supperclub includes welcome drink on arrival, a three-course meal, tea or coffee and water. It does not include the cost of the drink you bring along with you.

To help keep costs down, it’s really important that reservations are honoured. However, we do appreciate that situations change, so if you give us enough notice, we will try and resell your ticket. However, if this is within 72 hours of the event, tickets will be non-refundable and unfortunately you will be charged for the ticket.

Furry friends

Although they’re always kept away during cooking and any supperclubs, it’s important you’re aware of Team Cheese – our 3 cats. And it’s Team Cheese as they’re all named after one our favourite things – cheese! Bertie (Camembert), Rocky (Roquefort) and Brie…no need to explain that one. We felt it important that you’re aware in case you have an allergy…and there’s a chance they may pop their head around the corner towards the end of the night.
