Event Description

At Rajiv's Kitchen we believe in bringing people together to enjoy authentic Nepalese home cooked cuisine,  while providing a fun, friendly and attentive service.

On the 27th of September we are collaborating with award winning mixologist David Hamilton Boyd from Organic Spirit (@OrganicSpirit), for a one-off Nepalese cuisine & cocktail event; "Kathmandu and cocktails!" David has over seventeen years of experience in London’s finest and most exclusive cocktail bars, and has won international awards for his wonderful flavour combinations.

The event includes 4 course Nepalese meal ( Pre-starter, Starter, a variety of main dishes to share & a dessert). 

There will be cocktail making classes in between the courses, where you will get to make 3 of your own delicious & unique cocktails . All the cocktails are designed to compliment the menu.

 

The menu for this event includes:

Complimentary Welcome Drink: A glass of Prosecco upon arrival

1ST COCKTAIL:

Safron and lime leaf infused gin, shaken with watermelon, sugar and lime juice 

PRE-STARTER:

Lamb/Chicken Nepalese meatballs served with spicy eggplant, garlic yogurt & green chutney. 

STARTER:

Pork momos served with spicy tomatoes & sesame sauce.

*Momos are Nepalese dumplings

2ND COCKTAIL

Passion fruit, basil, and mint, muddled with rum and vanilla syrup

MAIN COURSE

Kathmandu curry: Braised mutton cooked with cashew nuts/paste and Nepalese herb and spices.

Aalo ko achaar: Potatoes, cucumber & red onions fresh pickle tempered with fenugreek flavoured oil & hemp seeds. (served cold)

Kukhura Alaichi: Black cardamom infused chicken cooked with mushroom & Nepalese herb & spices. 

Tarkaari: Nepalese fresh vegetable curry.  

Sekuwa: Classic Nepali Chicken skewers, marinated overnight with szechuan pepper, nutmeg, lime zest & yogurt.

****Main is served with paratha bread/fragrant rice.

3RD COCKTAIL

Prosseco, orange blossom water, white chocolate syrup

DESSERT

Coconut ice-cream with pomegranate and pistachio nuts.

We use fresh local produce/ingredients bought on the same day for our cooking.
If you are vegetarian or have any food allergies, please inform us in advance so we can improvise our menu to suit your needs.
