Love a Locavore's Pop-Up Restaurant

Main Entry: Locavore
Part of Speech: n
Definition: A person who attempts to eat only foods grown locally
Example: Locavores grow their own food or buy foodstuffs grown within their region.❞

'Love a Locavore' is an honest little catering company specialising in cooking as much seasonal British food as possible. From January-April, as much of the land lies fallow, we like to go mad and experiment with cusines from around the world!

Since October 2009, 'Love a Locavore' has thrown open the doors of it's beautiful London HQ  twice a month and hosts restaurant lunches, dinners and even house concerts for up to 20 diners to introduce what 'Love a Locavore' can do. In relaxing surroundings you will experience lovingly prepared and carefull sourced food and perhaps make some new friends along the way!

Love a Locavore happenings can be followed on Facebook and Twitter:

As well as the Pop-Up Restaurant, 'Love a Locavore' provides Breakfasts, Lunches, Afternoon teas, Delicious dinners, Picnics and Canapés as well as cooking for clients in their own homes and holiday homes, both in the UK and abroad.

'Love a Locavore' aims to source as much food as possible from suppliers within a 150 mile radius from it's kitchen in Fulham, London or from it's second kitchen in Gloucestershire, where it has it's own kitchen garden to source ingredients from.

Do get in touch if you are interested in experiencing any of the above!

Hi Alice,

So lovely to hear from you - thanks for the warm welcome! I'm in SE London so look forward to meeting up with you at some point in the not to distant future!  I'm hosting my first event of the summer next week (I've been at Cookery School this year) so will post some pictures afterwards.  We are in a 60's townhouse and I veer towards classic French cuisine & accessorize with retro 60's crockery etc. when possible!  You'd be very welcome to venture 'south' at the next one - likely to be around end August!

Best wishes

Heather

Hi Alice......I live in Stratford on Avon at the moment and since training last year at Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, have re-invented myself as a private chef to the Merevale Estate in North Warwickshire and as freelance caterer (Once Upon a Cook).  I'm planning a "back-to-the-future" move to rural Earlswood (near Solihull) to a property (currently a renovation/building project!!)  with a huge garden.  The aim is to set up a cookery school teaching "forgotten skills" and selling home grown and produced artisan foods and, hopefully, a "family-style" supper club.  The concept for Love a Locavore sounds wonderful and I sincerely wish you all the very best with it - maybe our paths will cross sometime!

Thanks Alice....your food looks delicious and would love to try it when I have the opportunity!  I'm hoping to start a "pop-up" later in the year in Warwickshire...sadly, there doesn't seem to be much competition around these parts!
