A SUNDAY TROPICAL MAURITIAN LUNCH WITH CLIFTON NURSERIES

A tropical festive wonderland awaits you in the Palm House at Clifton Nurseries, in Warwick Avenue, London this November. For one day only, this venue will be transformed into a warm, exotic feast of colours and flavours that will transport guests to warmer climates of the Southern Hemisphere.

On 11th November 2012, Clifton Nurseries in Maida Vale, will host the Winter Mauritian Wonderland pop up which will include a lunch of mouth-watering Mauritian cuisine cooked by the UK's only Mauritian Supper Club Yummy Choo.

The menu will be:

A Trio of Gajacks (Mauritian Street Snacks)

Gateaux Piment

(Split pea chilli poppers)

Breadfruit Frittes (depending on availability) or Gateaux Bringele (Aubergine Fritters)

(Seasoned chickpea flour battered breadfruit or aubergine)

Pineapple, Chilli & Mint Salad

Traditional Satini's and Chutney's on the side

Mini Roti Chaud

Flatbread filled with coriander chutney & vegetable achar (pickle)

Daube de Poulet

A chilli, garlic spiced & rich tomato based chicken creole curry, popular in most Mauritian households, the ultimate comfort food

Prawns et Vanille

A  creamy French/Mauritian inspired dish, juicy prawns are infused with Madagascan/Reunion Island Bourbon Vanilla spices

Fragrant Pillau

Spice infused rice, with cardamom & cinnamon

Chef's Suprise Dessert- A Mauritian inspired dessert, it will be decadent with flavours & fruits from this exotic island..

Guests will be seated in the Palm House amidst a beautiful tropical setting care of the amazing staff, plants and flowers at Clifton Nurseries, while feasting on an authentic Mauritian inspired menu brought to you by Yummy Choo's Supper Club. This is a BYO event, no alcohol or drinks will be available to buy on the premises.

Winter Mauritian Wonderland  is the creation of London Food Blogger and Owner of 'Yummy Choo', Selina Periampillai.
