On 25 January I am opening my home to guests and cooking food from my home country Suriname in South America. Be prepared for a table filled with food, so come hungry.
The menu is as follows:
Soto Ayam- fragrant Indonesian chicken soup. (Veg option available too)
Bami goreng- Indonesian noodles stir fried in homemade soy sauce (V)
My mother's chicken- Chinese chicken marinated in homemade sweet and spicy marinade according to my mother's recipe and served with wood ear mushroom
Bacalao- Creole salt fish in a spicy tomato sauce
Tempeh goreng- Tempeh in a sweet and spicy marinade (V)
Gado gado- Indonesian salad with peanut dressing (V)
Coconut rice- Creole rice boiled in coconut milk (V)
Homemade sambal- spicy chilli sauce (V)
Cucumber salad (V)
Pineapple upside down cake (V)
