This weekend I will mostly be barricading myself into the flat, stationing myself at the barbecue and soaking up the smells, sounds and atmosphere of the Notting Hill Carnival. For September’s supperclub, back by popular demand is the Leg of Lamb baked on a bed of Hay!

Award winning Knackered Mother’s Wine Club recommends...
For the Lamb
We need a fairly big red here, given the explosion of flavours going on, but not too overpowering. Rioja Reserva would be perfect, preferably 2008. The combination of juicy Tempranillo and smooth oak will work a treat
For the Profiteroles
Tawny Port will match up to the chocolate sauce beautifully. Sorted.
Just in case there wasn’t enough:
Selection of Cheeses & Biscuits
Coffee and a Selection of Teas
Home-made Pistachio Macaroons
Reservations are £35pp (plus booking fee) and can be made at the Direct Booking link above or Edible Experiences, but don't forget to bring the wine.
