Herb Roasted Spring Lamb at Notting Hill

May 21, 2017 from 1:30pm to 5:30pm
The Secret Sunday Lunch Club has taken a bit of a break but there’s good reason… The whole venue has been completely renovated! It’s taken nearly a year and it’s been quite a journey. The main change is the kitchen. It’s HUGE! And there are now 3 ovens, a 6 ring gas hob, an American style fridge, a full size dishwasher and most importantly: a wine cooler. What better way to kick-off this time of year with an old favourite – Roast Spring Lamb. It’s just so succulent and flavoursome right now. So…See More

Pork Belly @ Secret Sunday Lunch Club at Notting Hill / Portobello

December 13, 2015 from 1:30pm to 5:30pm
It's nearly Christmas (yes, I said the 'C' word) so I was going to go all out Turkey, but we all know in a couple of weeks no one is going to want to see, eat or smell turkey for another year. So for the last supperclub of the year I'm going Pork Belly with secret garlicky, herby, junipery layer just under the crackling. In other news... The Secret Sunday Lunch Club has a beautiful shiny new website! I am very excited about this and has been a long time in the making, but after 4 years I…See More

Duck Confit @ Secret Sunday Lunch Club at Notting Hill / Portobello, London

June 7, 2015 from 1:30pm to 5:30pm
Duck Confit!Back in the day, long before the invention of the fridge, the French discovered a delicious way to preserve their food: to confit. Here in good old Blighty, we were adding salt to our meat and while curing is an effective way to stop decay, it does tend to dehydrate, not to mention making everything taste of salt.By contrast, to confit is 'to preserve in its own fat' which results in meltingly tender, moist and extremely flavorful meat. After infusing the duck legs with herbs and…See More

Pork Belly with Crackling @ Secret Sunday Lunch Club at Notting Hill / Portobello, London

March 8, 2015 from 1:30pm to 6pm
The Secret Sunday Lunch Club brings people together for a proper Sunday roast in a relaxed, informal Notting Hill home.Pork is one of the worlds most consumed meats mainly due to it's versatility and one of my favourite cuts is belly of pork. To keep warm in these colder months pigs build up generous layers of fat, a bit like a cosy puffer jacket and it's this layer that is vital for a slow roast belly joint. During cooking the fat melts into the marinade of sugar, cloves and star anise, and…See More

Christmas Lunch with a Difference!

Posted on November 24, 2014 at 16:42 0 Comments

Throughout December, the Secret Sunday Lunch Club is becoming the Secret Christmas Lunch Club and is taking bookings for private Christmas lunches! Lets face it, it's only proper that a supperclub which excels in traditional Sunday roasts should host a classic Christmas do. Roast Turkey, lashings of gravy,…

Thanks for being the first to befriend me.  I live in Plymouth, but do come to town a few times a year and your club sounds great.  I am hoping to get some sort of supper club going here as I love cooking and want to try out my vegan fare on new people.  When it comes to a traditional Sunday Lunch, I find I am more than happy with (animal fat free/ butter less) plentiful veg.
