LATITUDINAL CUISINE invites you to a monumental evening of fine collective dining at THE DAIRY, a glorious renovated series of warehouses at the heart of Kings Cross on Sunday July 4th, 7.30pm.
We will be celebrating a broad version of INDEPENDENCE DAY, celebrating liberation from nationalism and borders in our collecting together of food from all around the world.
It’s our 25th LC dinner this year as we turn exactly halfway round the world, and we’ll seat 100 people – our biggest gathering to date.
Since it’ll be exactly a week before the World Cup Final, we’ll be the WORLD SUP*, bringing nationalities together for one huge event – eating, not beating, other countries, using our hands, not our feet. Each guest is asked to bring a cold dish and a drink from their own country (or countries), and contribute to a meal that becomes a culinary portrait of our world. All the food will be served on a giant map table of the world around which we’ll then eat.
All are welcome but booking is essential. RSVP alexhaw [AT] gmail.com or 07815 040 619.
We look forward to eating the world with you ;)
We’re a growing group of friends and strangers uniting around the simple concept of meeting weekly and travelling through the cuisines of the world.
We bring food from the longitude corresponding to the day of the year.
We share everything.
Usually (though not for the coming 2 weeks), you can cook there or bring it pre-prepared or you can buy something; everyone brings what they can.
There’s no competition and no prizes apart from the ripe rewards of new foods and new friends.
It’s easy and unintimidating and open to all, and it’s been great.
Whatever your motive – cooking, eating, drinking, socialising, networking, learning, travelling, exploring – come join us.
