Love a Locavore's kitchen and dining room is now at the end of its re-energizing renovation. I'm back in the kitchen. Wooooop!

On Thursday 20th January an inspiring live performer and true musical enthusiast by the name of Alex Berger will be in Love a Locavore's living room. I came across Alex whilst visiting another great London Pop-Up restaurant - The Nomad Chef - and asked him if he would like to come and sing to my Locavores.

Tonight, your bellies will be filled with yummy finger food which will be circulating upon you arrival and then you will take a sofa, a stair, a chair, a beanbag or the carpet and have accomplished trans-Atlantic singer/songwriter Alex, and his personally chosen guest singer, Katie Maddocks sing away the January blues in the cosy surroundings of Love a Locavore's London HQ.

Katie Maddocks wrote her first song on the piano at the age of 14, written albums instead of meeting other deadlines she is supposed to and now is gigging, open micing, writing, creating and tonight performing in Love a Locavore's living room. Some of her influences are Joni Mitchell,  Sheryl Crow, Carole King, The Mamas and the Papas, David Bowie, James Taylor, Stevie Wonder, The Police, Elton John, Freddie Mercury, The Beatles, Queen, Alanis Morrissette, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers and John Lennon to name but a few greats!

Alex Berger cites the likes of Randy Newman, Tom Waits and Amber Rubarth, among many others, as key influences to date. He has sought greater inspiration from other unsigned independent artists prior to recording his own material. Immersing his mind, body and soul in a resurgent New York indie music scene, it was with the help of like-minded colleagues and brethren that saw him realise his ambition of becoming a recording artist in his own right.

The release of his debut LP ‘Snow Globe’ drew acclaim from every conceivable angle. An iTunes favourite, on both sides of the Atlantic, Berger capitalised on this fledgling success the only way he knew how - taking to the road. Alex has played countless shows across the UK, Europe and New York City, and for tonight only, we have him all to ourselves in 'Love a Locavores Pop-Up Restaurant'.
