Opening night for Mama Lan's supperclub

Hi guys, we've finally taking the plunge and opened our very own supperclub - Mama Lan's.

You can expect home-cooked Beijing and northern Chinese style food (strictly no sweet and sour) in an intimate homey setting. As well as a three course meal each evening, Mama Lan will be cooking live to show you some of the traditional techniques, handed down from generation to generation, which have been used to prepare your meal.


The proposed menu for our opening night is detailed below.

Starters

酱牛肉 - Slow cooked beef with Chinese herbs and spices
素丸子 - Fried vegetable balls
芹菜拌花生米 - Celery and peanut salad

Main Course

饺子 - Traditional dumplings: 1) pork and chinese leaf, 2) beef and spring onion, and 3) vegetarian dumplings.
泡菜 - Assorted pickled vegetables

Dessert

Chocolate fondant (As Chinese don’t do desserts we are robbing from the French... but with a lychee on top!)
