- I was born in Jamaica and moved to Yorkshire when I was six years old. I love cooking and feeding people. Over the years family and friends, and people I have met who have tasted my food, tell me that I can cook. They are always asking me for my recipes, or to cook for them. After reading an article in a magazine, and reading your book about your supper club I felt inspired and decided to give it a whirl. I've put together a website with the help of my family, and fixed a date for Saturday the 10 of August. I am excited and looking forward to be launching our first supper club with a themed One love Barbecue. Wakefield s first. This will be a Traditional Caribbean Cuisine supper club. It will be hosted by myself and I will have help and support by my hubby Trevor{he's my diamond} and my daughters Phillipa and Lisa. You will be dining in our living room sitting at our dining table with a maximum of eight. You may not know each other to begin with but may very well become friends at the end of the evening. Hiya every one,
Thank you to every one that attended our first supper club event on Saturday August 10 th.
Also thank you to my hubby and my daughters for their energy and strength. and to my mum who was also entertaining the guest with her stories from back home in Jamaica! There was lots of laughing coming from the table in between mouthfuls! Hope to see our guest, and more returning next month.
