Birthday Celebrations

We recently held a birthday celebration at our supper club and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed all the preparations and hard work that went into it.

I'm a bit of a perfectionist I think or at the very least I like to get things right.  I spent a lot of time thinking about and searching for something special I could do for my birthday guest.  I ended up baking an orange cake (I cannot begin to tell you how long I spent looking for a cake stand that was the right size and look for the cake) and getting some sparkly candles and a birthday card.  Not original I know but it was important to me to offer a little something that was up and above what was being paid for.

The important thing was I really enjoyed doing it and I believe that my birthday guest really appreciated it.
