Hosts ‘Bumped off at Betty’s’ by H.A.D.S
an Afternoon Tea & Murder Mystery event
Saturday 20th July 6.00pm at East Peckham Village Hall, Bush Road, East Peckham, Nr Tonbridge, Kent, TN12 5LL
Join us in the 1950’s at Betty’s teashop during the Marchmount village flower show for a meal and murder mystery. Guests will be seated at communal ‘team tables’ and can try to work out whodunit. 1950’s dress is optional- prize for the best. Food includes cucumber sandwiches, savoury treats and a delicious selection of cakes & scones. All food served for the evening will be suitable for vegetarians & vegans. Tickets: Adult £22, senior £20, including meal available from www.thefatcarrot.co.uk The 'Marchmount Arms’ bar will be available for tea/ coffee and locally-sourced beverages.

The evening:
6pm Be the judges at the Marchmount Flower Show by voting for your favourite floral display.
6.30pm First course will be served at Betty’s Tea Shop.
7.00pm Watch the action unfold in the tea room and take notes so you can guess ‘whodunit’.
7.45 Betty’s famous cakes will be served.
8.00 Interviews of the suspects will take place.
8.30 Any other questions
8.45 Raffle drawn & flower/ costume prizes awarded.
9.15 The murderer will be revealed…..and the winning team announced.

Floral display competition.
Category 1) Large
Title: ‘Crowning Glory’.
An arrangement inspired by HRH Elizabeth II coronation on 2nd June 1953. The arrangement must contain natural flowers & foliage. The use of props, ribbons etc. is permitted. The arrangement must be no more than 75cm high, 75cm wide & 75cm deep.
Category 2) Small
Title: ‘Time for Tea.’
A small arrangement in a teacup or similar inspired by the British love of tea drinking. The arrangement must contain natural flowers & foliage. The use of props, ribbons etc. is permitted. The arrangement must be no more than 20cm high, 20cm wide & 20cm deep.
Entry to the flower arranging competition is free and a prize will be awarded for each category. Arrangements must be delivered to East Peckham Village Hall with an entry card between 4.30pm & 5.30pm on the day and collected at the end of the evening. The best will be judged by attendees of the Bumped of a Betty’s Murder event and announced during the evening. Only one entry per category per person.
