Friday 14thJune Meet at 11am

Biddenden Road,near Cranbrook, TN17 2AB

Join us for a picnic on the green at Sissinghurst Castle National Trust property. It is a ruin of an Elizabethan manor house gently seated in the beautiful Weald of Kent. It was once a prison to captured French seamen during the Seven Years War, a poor house and latterly a working farm. It gained international fame in the 1930s when Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicolson created a garden here. The garden is a riot of colour throughout the year. Divided into small garden rooms, each is very distinctive from the others. Don't miss the famous white garden and Vita's beloved rose garden. Farmers’ Market News

We are pleased to announce we will now be at Penshurst Farmers’ Market starting from 6th July. This one was recently named one of the top ten markets by The Times. It has over 30 stalls set against the backdrop of the beautiful Penshurst Place. It is monthly on the first Saturday of the month 9.30-12.

We enjoyed the 10th Birthday celebrations at Shipbourne Farmers' Market on 23rd May and were pleased to serve local celebrity Gloria Hunniford there again. This market is every Thurdsday 9-11.

We have made the decision to give up Tunbridge Wells Farmers’ Market (Town Hall) as attendance to this market seems to be declining and the council run market is one of the most expensive in the area to take part in. Apologies if you are a Tunbridge Wells customer, I hope you will find us at another nearby market e.g. Tonbridge. If you have any feedback about Tunbridge Wells Farmers’ market you can contact Tunbridge Wells Borough Council by e-mailing: emily.roche@tunbridgewells.gov.uk

Love your planet!

Good news is if you are veggie, vegan or cutting down on meat consumption then you are already helping the planet. A plant-based diet is more sustainable and creates less greenhouse gasses.

Don’t forget that shopping locally is also very eco-friendly. Use your local producer or Farmers’ Market and take your own bag. The Fat Carrot uses foil packaging which can be re-cycled and compostable ‘plastic’ made of vegetable starch which will bio-degrade, just pop it in your green bin.

Catering for all your party needs.

If you are planning a party, picnic or event and would like a free estimate for catering let us know. Whether it is a few quiches or welsh eggs for an informal get together or a three course sit down meal we would be happy to look at your requirements and give you some options.

Best Wishes
