Snow and rain and possibly Gales! - It must be springtime then...!

While you all ponder the cruelty of the British weather, I'll be jetting off to sunny South Africa. Anyone fancy a walk along the white sandy beaches of Hermanus? (google it!)

This all means that I will miss both Barbara's birthday bash that we are hosting here on Friday as well as our next night on the 10th. Knowing Helio, you will all be treated to lashings of the good stuff, so keep an eye out on our blog for menu details coming next week.

I will be back on the 16th with the lovely Paul on the decks - as it should be, both hopefully sporting a bit more tanned skin.

By the way: does anyone else agree that poor Sophie Dahl's cooking show on TV is a travesty? One Nigella is enough thanks. Fire that producer at once.
