Okay, I’m trying again to post this bl**dy message!
A moderator at Wikipedia decided today that he would delete all supperclubs / underground restaurants from the Wiki page ‘underground restaurants.’
He said they were not a verified source.
I (with some help) re-instated the info, and explained that we are not in Yellow Pages (that’s the whole point of what we do!). I said we could be verified via this - the FASC website.
He said, he realised our issues, but had set up a ‘talk’ thread on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underground_restaurant in order to see the response to deletion.
I have responded, but it would be great if others could add their weight to the level of support.
I'm sure what has happened is that a certain rival site that joined this site and surreptitiously made contact with most of the members, has removed our listing.
I can't do anything about it but if any of you are on wikipedia perhaps you can get Find a supper club put up there again.
I also find it a shame that so many other supper clubs, particularly those with a great deal of IT experience have seen fit to remove links to other supper clubs and promote theirs over and above others.
It really is contrary to the spirit of this movement that I founded early 2009.
Pathetic really.

It's particularly irksome as this is a community group run and funded by me and I have also donated to wikipedia. This group is the pioneer in the UK, where there are the most supper clubs probably. I don't know how to add to the discussion group as you've only linked to the page and I don't know how to do it.

I'm so, so sorry if my actions have 'cocked-up' the situation.
When you go on the UR wiki site, there is another tab at the top. By default it goes to 'article'; but you can select the alternative tab to get to 'talk' - just look above the wiki advertising banner.
I am so not an IT person - so please forgive the crap IT instructions.

ok will have a go, thanks for telling us.
Have just had a go at this.
Linda's instructions are good. Once you get to the 'talk' page you just need to click 'edit' to the right of UNSOURCED LIST to add your thoughts.

They won't allow me to post as they say it's a conflict of interest. Sigh. So would appreciate if members of this group could persuade them not to take it down. Also put in this site. Plus my book which advertises this site (and garners me extra sales;)

Well I've added my twopenneth but it'll probably be deleted because I'm not used to contributing to Wikipedia.
I just added a note - I am not familiar with wp but thought that referncing other 3rd parties who have reviewed us gives some credence to the fact that we exist - also have mentioned my listing on this site of course - not sure if they will see it as advertising and take it off. mmmmm
