Comida Divertida
I was one of the 20 diners to get a place at the launch evening of Charlie’s supper club “Comida Divertida” recently. I first heard of Charlie’s new supper club via Twitter – the event was quickly over-subscribed, but thanks to a mate of…

Sometimes life is strange... Two days ago, we've watched an episode of
Anthony Bourdain, No Reservations in Melbourne, and few hours
ago...I've bumped into the very same celebrity chef Tony Tan (featured
in the episode), having cake and coffee at Nikau! He's a friend of the
owner, which is also a friend of mine... Tony Tan is in Wellington for
2 nights, as a guest chef at The Museum Hotel, but I wonder if I could
invite him to our first dinner party… Continue

Hi I'm writing a cookery book based on The Underground Restaurant. I'm going to be featuring other supperclubs.
As I don't cook meat I was wondering if other regular supperclubs would like to submit meat recipes. There is no payment but if your recipe is used, then you will get exposure. Email me at marmitelover@mac.com
Amounts are for 4, in grammes, give oven temps ect.
Put ingredients in order of use, then the…

We're organizing our first dinner party this sunday 23rd May and launch of the underground pop-up restaurant, The French House... This is a new experience in New Zealand and we are hoping to get in
touch with other similar initiatives and foster the network.
We would love to hear from you (support, comments, tips, etc)!

After lots of deliberation, fluttering of nerves, but plenty of support from friends and the fact the nearest supper clubs was Bristol, I have finally launched Chocolate Poppy Supper Club in a secret location in the Cotswolds. A Sparkling Aperitif with a special ingredient, followed by a 4 course meal of… Continue

Hi,
I've put up a photo...an ironing board covered with dishes...as I think it represents nicely what we are doing... I'd like to use the restaurant tube logo that Jonathan Brown designed for me...but it would cause problems with London Underground, so please don't use that logo.
I've also put a link to this site. Every weekend and before I try to tweet and encourage tweeters to look at this site to book for a supperclub.
You guys who are hosts can also do…

Well, last night saw yet another successful Bootleg dinner in the wilds of Shoreditch. We were getting a little worried as we only had six confirmed as at late Thursday night, but somehow ended up with 19 for dinner on Saturday. Such lovely people all of them, and really got into the spirit of Bootleg - especially the wonderful meal cooked up by Helio, despite a small incident with the slicing machine !!
Kicked off with a few glasses of Prosecco with fresh raspberry juice and…

Had lots of request about our dumpling night! We decided to run it again for our next event on the 20th.
It was great fun showing people how to make traditional dumplings from scratch (just hope there will be volunteers this time too). Come on let's have some fun!!!

Well we have our next dinner dates in just seven days and I have been checking out my recipes and making sure all is OK for our "Chocolate Fest"
Our main course dish will be Braised Beef Olives in a Mole Sauce that will be served with Spatzli. This is a southern German/Swiss pasta that requires the use of a specialist piece of kitchen equipment. The Spatzli Sieve... mine was purchased over twenty years ago from Swiss supermarket chain Migros and is still going…

Getting really excited about our next dinner - just decided on the menu and it's now up on the events page! Come with your friends and enjoy the celebration with us!
As usual a non alcoholic cocktail will be served before dinner and this time it's the 'Red Lantern'.

Hmmm the whole scene appears to be somewhat London-centric... not that there is anything wrong with London ... it's just I don't live anywhere near there!
I'm looking for a supper club in Northern Ireland... or even the Republic... to try the experience out. Any suggestions?
I have to admit the whole concept is just about the most exciting thing I have ever heard of! Maybe give it a go myself once I have seen some 'best practice'!
Now I wonder if the local tech…
