I have to admit that I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with chocolate. Not in the mad ‘I love it and can’t stop eating it’ Bridget Jones esque scenario but more in the ‘I can’t bring myself to love it sense’. I just don’t enjoy the sticky dry mouth that results from over indulging in milk chocolate and for…

Members: if you'd like to receive more or perhaps less news from Find a Supper Club, please go to the Settings button on your membership where you can regulate the emails. You might wish to opt for a daily digest rather than an instant email.
You can also choose the kind of information you'd like to receive: personal messages, news and updates.
If you choose to opt out of any email notifications (which I know is tempting as we all get too much junk) you won't hear about news… Continue

This is my favourite recipe for leeks currently, I sell it at Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells Farmers Markets in Kent. They sold very well over the weekend and caused curiosity as people wanted to know the difference to the Scotch varity. The answer is they are vegetarian and contain leeks hence the name!
Ing: 6 eggs hard boiled and shelled, 1 egg beaten, aprox 4… Continue

Well it takes the thought of winning a £200 pound restaurant voucher courtesy of http://www.lovethegarden.com to get me blogging, so here goes!
This is a lovely leek recipe and I've made it as an after work supper for the family, and for a casual dinner with friends; probably not dinner party fare as although it tastes great, you'd have to work on the presentation to make it plate pretty.
It combines several of my favorite ingredients… Continue

Finally the weather is starting to improve (even in Manchester!) and we’re busy planning for our next event on the 31st March. The menu celebrates some of the incredible flavours coming into season, bringing with them a bit of lightness after the comfort-eat-inducing winter. The centre piece of this meal will be Michele’s signature stew – so called Lazarus because it quite literally raises people from the dead it…

Back last year I was approached by Yalding Church Preservation Society (YCPS) a registered charity that is tasked with assisting in the upkeep of the fabric of the building of St Peter & St Paul's Church in the village centre of Yalding, Kent to perhaps host a special dinner for them. I have since been trying to see how best we could assist in their fundraising and help them in a novel… Continue

I’m sorry that it has taken me until the middle of the week to get this up, will do better in future. I’d just like to start by saying a huge thank you to all our guests from Saturday; it was very exciting to have 19 of the 20 places filled for our first ever evening. We had an amazing time looking after you all and your lovely feedback was a great way to end a hectic day (I also think that I can skip the gym this week after all the running up and downstairs I did!). Here are a couple of… Continue

If there's one piece of kitchen equipment that will transform your cooking, it's a digital thermometer. I'm not kidding!
You can finally temper chocolate, or make sure your fish and meat are done properly when you take them out of the oven.…
