Hi all. Very new to this thing, but I've very nearly finished building my own website to promote 'Scratch'. Phew! Another day or so I think.
Thought I'd share it with you though as it was a bit tricky, but not nearly as tough as I had thought it might be and I would recommend it if you've got reasonable computer literacy. I built it on Wordpress -…

It's just over 4 days till our second supper club - our first was an Italian feast in May and was a great success (we believe - the 3 guests certainly seemed to enjoy it: they're coming back).
We have 6 bookings this time, including 2 ladies who we don't know, which is really exciting, as they must have tracked us down on the website - thanks Ms Marmite - and found us on facebook, where we advertise. We also have two old friends who are new to the experience, and two from our previous…

What a night. Our first supper club. 10 paying guests, 5 courses and a couple of virgin supper clubbers keen to provide a warm welcome, good food and (hopefully) a unique dining experience.
Did we succeed?
Well we certainly appeared to have some happy guests. The conversation was buzzing all night, although I really do think we might have struck…

http://www.swper.co.uk/I’ve never been particularly partial to tablecloths. I freely admit to owning a couple which are occasionally dragged out at Christmas or other ‘special’ occasions where I’m expecting guests of a certain generation. But generally I can’t muster up a whole lot of excitement for a bit of hemmed cotton. Oh how things have changed.
Two days ago I became the proud owner of a vintage french linen tablecloth. And…

Held my first secret crafternoon tea party on Sunday with a local craft studio French Knots. Guests first made a brooch with vintage fabrics and buttons with help from Jo Johnston, then moved onto the tea table for afternoon tea to be served. Lots of chatter and enjoyment around the craft table, then munching. Was a good, productive afternoon and we'll definitely…

Having successfully launched the SouthWes Supper Club and Wild Food Kitchen, our next project is a fine dining restaurant and pop-up art gallery, in a disused warehouse in Stratford.
We have events running throughout the Olympics, from Olympic Quiz and dinner nights, to Movie Nights, where we will be playing Cool Runnings and indulgin in five courses of Jamaican inspired food.
Other events include the Sunday Brunch Club- where each table will be a team, and will…

And so... The Little Cooking Pot SupperClub has launched! And what a lovely night it was. The guest we're great, the night was about getting to know knew people as well as trying some new foods..each course was designed to be shared to help get people talking and it seemed to do the trick. Everyone seemed to have a fun time so here's to the first of many, I hope.

If so, then why not come along to my first combined play and eat event based on the board game Diplomacy? (If you don't know it, don't worry, it's easy to learn.) It's a game of strategy and negotiation with other players that is ideally suited to a buffet, which will feature a sumptuous pan-European array of food. But can it be called a "supper club" if it's in the afternoon? For more details and to view the menu please visit the website:…

After much consideration and lots of daydreaming, my addled little brain has decided that my love for cooking and quirky things has got to have an avenue on which to unleash itself.
The wedding is over and the china all lovingly packed away, the glassware went kicking and screaming back into storage boxes and…

I really enjoyed our supper club last Saturday evening. I was wavering quite a bit about this supper club because it was the Jubilee week-end and I wasn't sure that people would be able to make it. But, I am so glad that I decided to go ahead with it. A group of friends booked to come along and it really was an enjoyable evening. My husband and I managed to spend more time with our guests and we really had a laugh with them. No one would have guessed that these people were strangers in…
